I am trapped in Windows 10. To make the most of it I need a package like Open Office. Has anyone had any experience with using Open Office on Windows 10? How did it go. Are there any of the free office software packages that you prefer more than Open Office? Have you had experience with them on Windows 10? |

If free's the word, you could visit this site before December 24, and support a charitable cause. www DOT loadandhelp DOT com Softmaker FreeOffice is based on the previous full version of Softmaker's office suite, Softmaker Office 2012. I have used Softmaker Office 2012, but not on Windows 10. |

The free one was limiting, so I bought the full package, $100 USD here in Canada. |

Not on Win 10 myself yet but do use LibreOffice (fork of OpenOffice). Since it's free to download and install, try it out. Can't really do any harm because if it doesn't work out (doesn't work or you don't like it), you just uninstall and delete the download. |

I also use LibreOffice and am very happy with it. But, I'm also one of those that liked Windows 7, but like Win-10 even more. |

I'm with Dynaman8789, works just as well in Windows 10 as it did in Windows 7. |

Love whatever you said Mardaddy (about the product Win 10 I'm sure :) yes I know you deleted it but pretty sure it disparaged MS+BG the keeper of magical sciences ;/ ha ha, Cheers,I'm keeping to Win 7 forever if I can. |

I use LibreOffice since it seems to track new versions of Office more quickly than Open Office. So far Windows 10 doesn't seem an y worse than Windows 8.1 and the absence of the tiled desk top by default seems an improvement. Chris |

Hey, does W10 show previews of jpegs, gifs, etc? There was a security problem with some common file types in earlier Win versions and they simply disabled previews as the "fix." |

You can fix windows by not using it. I'd recommend Linux Mint or Gnomebuntu. Either one works great and are Linux Mint derivatives. Both also come with Libre Office. |

Give up the OS with the most software running on it? Seems a silly way to fix something that isn't broken. |

Give up the OS with the most software running on it? Define "most".

Ah. The Microsoft answer. Technically correct and completely useless given the context. |

With all the data mining they have going on, you can just write your feedback in a private document, and they'll know right away :) |

I find LibreOffice better than OpenOffice. LibreOffice is a fork of Open Office which is now owned by Apache and development on it has stalled since 2014. LibreOffice is Open Source and all previous developers of OpenOffice now work on LibreOffice. |
