Does anyone know a way to repair broken bayonets on some Baccus French troops? Using green stuff could be quite tedious and was hoping someone came up with a quick easy way to build it back up?

Maybe glue a small bit of flat staple along the side and the bit that sticks out above the musket is the bayonet?

Thin gauge florist's wire glued on with super glue or a dab of green stuff. The trick is to cut the wire long enough to handle as you put it in place. Then, when dry, cut it down to the proper length. Also, you will want to glue it to the side of the barrel and not the top. Remove any remnants of the old bayonet first.

Why worry about it if only a few figures. Cannot we assume that some troops lacked the weapon, lost it or broke it off in some Englishman.

If you need to do more than a few, use the staple or wire as noted above. Put a dab of contact cement on both pieces, let dry 10 minutes then attach. For extra strength, add a drop of Rapid Fix over the dry cement.

Rapid Fix is the strongest super glue available.

What others have suggested. Plus, you can wrap a 'cast' around the join for greater strength. Cut a tiny slip of cigarette paper, dip it in 5 minute epoxy, and wrap it around the joined musket + bayonet.

I took all the ones with broken bayonets and use them as Legere

I use a candle to stretch some spare plastic sprue to the correct thickness then cut and superglue in place. Also works for swords.
