"Carlton Cuse is a busy man. The writer and showrunner (and co-creator of Lost) already has his hands full with The Strain on FX and Bates Motel on AMC—and he's completing the trifecta with Colony, a sci-fi series coming to USA Network next month. We first saw footage at Comic Con over the summer, but this Sunday, the network will be airing its first official teaser for the show. Why wait, though? We've got it right here.

The minute-long spot, taken largely from the pilot, gives a good sense of the tone we can expect when Colony premieres on January 14. The show takes place in a near-future Los Angeles, in the aftermath of an event known only as The Arrival. The city is under martial law, governed by some sort of external force ("our hosts," as one character refers to them)…"
