Getting into 6mm World War 2 and do not want to spend hours on painting minis.

A buddy of mine games in 20mm and he suggested this for a rapid painting process….

1)Spray paint (he recommended Testors or Army painter) white for lighter base colors and dark grey or black for darker base coats

2)Spray on base coat

3)A Future/paint wash

4)Decals then Testor Dullcote

4)Brush highlights

5)Mud/rust for tracks

How does that sound? Are any of the steps out of order?

Many thanks

I would suggest a gloss varnish before the Future wash. It does tend to darken acrylics quit exsugnificantly if you do not varnish. The varnish coat see ms to ensure that the pigment stays in the cracks and crevices where you want it to to be.

Make sure you use decal solutions with decals, and apply them over a glossy finish.
