Having the rules is good but what about the miniatures ? Several brands offer interesting things such as Redoubt and its range on the Three Musketeers. It includes miniatures on foot and mounted in 28 mm at very affordable prices. Musketeer Figures

I own the Redoubt ones, least most of them, and they really are great. We've done a lot of games with them and enjoyed it. I am also a huge fan of Blue Moon minis and jumped at the chance when they came out with their 18mm range of the Musketeers/Cardinals Guards etc but I just could not warm to the sculptures. They are too squat and thick. In their favor they have pretty much all you need from mounted and foot versions of the musketeers to civilians and a coach etc. Sadly mine remain unpainted. Only Blue Moon range I do not care for and I've bought a ton of their stuff happily, but that's just me I guess. We all have our likes and dislikes. |

My favorite are a few of the ones produced for the 1650 game. |
