Are you looking for a regular gaming opponent, or do you already have one or more?

Yes.(looking. All have been trasferred)

Who asked this joker09 Dec 2015 11:59 a.m. PST

Built in opponent with my son. Several around the hood as well.

79thPA Supporting Member of TMP09 Dec 2015 12:00 p.m. PST

I have several. I also need to get back in with one of my old gaming groups, but time has been tight.

Mako1109 Dec 2015 12:04 p.m. PST

Yep, need some new, or old, Cold War warriors.

I do get together with others, when time permits, to do a bit of gaming.

Coyotepunc and Hatshepsuut09 Dec 2015 12:06 p.m. PST

Yes, please. PM me for my shipping address.

79thPA Supporting Member of TMP09 Dec 2015 12:32 p.m. PST

Harry, we can't ship an opponent to you (methinks the bug has struck).

TMPWargamerabbit09 Dec 2015 12:47 p.m. PST

They ship mannequins all the time. Just prop up in chair opposite the live gamer and start the game. Era period hat atop their head of course. He or she won't complain as you run over their stationary but valiant miniature defenders with favorable movement card picks and fancy dice rolls. Even more fun to actually lose the scenario to the dummy who will keep the same smiling face throughout the scenario.

P.S. to the OP question. WR has regular live opposition on the tabletop but more friendly bodies always welcome.

Dynaman878909 Dec 2015 1:18 p.m. PST

Plenty of opponents.

Pictors Studio09 Dec 2015 1:22 p.m. PST

It is usually more the time to game than the opponents that I am after.

DisasterWargamer Supporting Member of TMP09 Dec 2015 1:26 p.m. PST

Always nice to have fresh faces

napthyme09 Dec 2015 1:29 p.m. PST

I have not had one in almost 10 years.

Mute Bystander09 Dec 2015 1:36 p.m. PST

Active Historical group locally (cons are "Anything Historical or Anything Miniatures" thematically) plus several potential SF and Fantasy opponents from that same local area.

Larry R09 Dec 2015 2:04 p.m. PST

Yes but he's at college

GatorDave Supporting Member of TMP09 Dec 2015 2:05 p.m. PST

Yes. I moved last year and need new gaming buddies.

Personal logo Extra Crispy Sponsoring Member of TMP09 Dec 2015 2:26 p.m. PST

Nope. Belong to two regular groups and am an occasional "drop in" with several others, not to mention games I put on (though I need to build a new table).

Diocletian28409 Dec 2015 2:29 p.m. PST

Yes, would like to have one. I have no regular opponent. Only game against others at HMGS conventions every four months. Due to this lack of regular opponents, most of my time in hobby spent painting figures and researching. I do play solo from time to time.

Garand09 Dec 2015 2:59 p.m. PST

Plenty of opponents for 40K, X-wing, none for historicals. Would like to see more of a historical scene locally. I've tried to convert the unbelievers, it has been quite the job…

Damon.

Rich Bliss09 Dec 2015 3:01 p.m. PST

Yes, need one very much. Cedar Rapids has several game stores but no Historical/non tournament group that I can locate.

RittervonBek09 Dec 2015 3:42 p.m. PST

Yes. Dire need of one.

Personal logo Saber6 Supporting Member of TMP Fezian09 Dec 2015 4:21 p.m. PST

Always looking.

15th Hussar09 Dec 2015 4:23 p.m. PST

No Thank you…I'm going through a divorce already as it is!

FusilierDan Supporting Member of TMP09 Dec 2015 6:07 p.m. PST

I have one so there's no need but we would be happy to have a few others join in. This would also help keep gaming more regular as other things sometimes get in the way for one of us.

Personal logo etotheipi Sponsoring Member of TMP09 Dec 2015 6:10 p.m. PST

I have several.

Jamesonsafari10 Dec 2015 4:37 a.m. PST

Yes!
I'm starting to look at solo options

Yesthatphil10 Dec 2015 4:54 a.m. PST

Plenty of opponents and local players – all good sociable types with a love of history … but like-minded enthusiasts are always welcome wink

Phil

Tuudawgs10 Dec 2015 6:00 a.m. PST

Yes, I have turned to solo because of it.

boy wundyr x10 Dec 2015 9:06 a.m. PST

Yes, two groups that I play with regularly, probably a couple more reasonably local if I had more weekends in a month.

Old Contemptibles10 Dec 2015 9:37 a.m. PST

We have an active club. But I still have trouble getting enough players. I would like to play board games but I cannot get anyone interested.

Garryowen Supporting Member of TMP10 Dec 2015 9:44 a.m. PST

I have a group that plays at my house. It will vary from 1 to 7 other guys at any given game. But I am always looking for more.

kehanubaal10 Dec 2015 4:40 p.m. PST

Anybody in Rome?

stew46a11 Dec 2015 2:46 a.m. PST

We have a small group in Weymouth, Dorset, meet twice a month (Friday nights) looking for new members, if you fancy a game come along and see what we do.

ITALWARS11 Dec 2015 6:03 a.m. PST

kehanubaal…yes i'm in Rome
i'm also looking to opponents..28mm to 20mm
many periods..but mainly Colonial (28mm TSATF) and WW1/WW2 (Rapid Fire in 20mm)…if you're interested

Great War Ace11 Dec 2015 5:49 p.m. PST

Hardly had a "live" game in fifteen years. Solo got old. Then a couple of old gamers returned. We could use some more, but not too many more….

Howler13 Dec 2015 7:13 p.m. PST

Yes

Ottoathome17 Dec 2015 4:40 a.m. PST

No I have about 12 in my "basement group." I just need more time to play.

IronMike17 Dec 2015 10:35 p.m. PST

Always looking for an opponent that can work around my weird schedule…
