I'm on a roll here tonight … I have a backlog of posts to do I suppose. Just posted up pictures of my buddies US Army collection done in ACU by Mark Brooks -- it is hands down the best ACU I've seen done to date: link

A few pictures to get you started (more on the blog):

Great paint job but that pattern has to be the worst ever put into the field. I don't care where you are in the world that cammo stands out rather than blends in.

Lol, agree 100% … but looks cool on these models ;-)

But you know its like GW Space Marine gear, you know the Army wants to be 'seen' in action too 8D. I did mine slightly less contrasting but prefer your I must say it does look more digital.
Cheers happy painting.

It is a great urban camo…

Interesting discussion. Firstly it is indeed truly horrific as a fashion statement (however well represented here). Compare it with that old, brilliant, desert sand and brown with the white stones and black shadows. Kuwait I.

Urban camo though. I know about Berlin style on tanks, for NW Europe….but is the US really looking at the prospect of urban conflict currently? I fully accept there must be some reason for the massive investment the change represented. Just cannot figure it out.

This then led me to read up on the bewildering variety of US patterns in recent use. It seems UCP is the one that I hate the most. Not to mention MARPAT and Multicam. I think I will go back to Vietnam War and Napoleonics…..more at home there!

Can this be used for Falluja?
