"Starring Michelle Yeoh and Donnie Yen, it will premiere on Netflix next February telling an epic story of lost love, young love, a legendary sword. It also tells of one last opportunity at redemption, set against breathtaking action in an epic martial arts battle between good and evil. The fate of the Martial World will be decided in this action-packed sequel…"

This might be a decent film in its own right, but it sure doesn't look like a sequel to the original "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon".
Please say there's a Mandarin version?

Looks a bit meh to me. The musical choice is just wrong. As a lover of the original sound track and the original film, this screams 'made for American consumption.' Or rather, 'made for what we think is American consumption.'

I'd watch Michelle Yeoh in just about anything. I'm glad this is being done, though it will probably not be even close to the standard of the original. Not everything is a classic. Sometimes its just fun.

I kind of agree about the music but … this:

Wulfgar: I'd watch Michelle Yeoh in just about anything.
… and the martial arts combat looks pretty great, though granted we've seen many of those wire fu moves before.

"… will premier on Netflix" = Direct to Video = SUCKS.

Michelle Yeoh…has a Helen Mirren-like quality to her; the older she gets, the more beautiful she becomes.

TG,IIRC,Chinese audiences thought the original WAS an American movie.

Title sorta reminds me of "Calvin,Boy of Destiny".
"Don't forget the dramatic pause after 'Boy'"
"Hmm…maybe I could get you some cymbals to crash…"

Well, I'd have to disagree with that. I've found crappy Netflix original programming to be the rare exception, not the rule. But YMMV.
