Michigan wargamer Bob Marshall presents this tribute to international good feeling: Years ago I was asked to present my 28mm Mexican-American game north of the USA/Canadian border at the annual "Migs-Con" convention, held in Hamilton Ontario. Half way through the game I see a Canadian gamer, intently watching the action. I was feeling rather full of myself at presenting a game that had obviously captured his attention. I soon see a Canadian friend of Gamer #1 sidle up alone side of him and Gamer #2 asks, "Who's winning?" Without hesitation Gamer #1 responds. "It's Yanks versus Mexicans. Does it really matter?" Especially like "rolling up" the mosaic floor. All bring a smile to one's face. |
