OK, the cat is out of the bag a little…

The Rules and minis are available! Time to get those boats out on patrol before the ice starts in on the lakes ;)

This looks like fun!

Any scenarios in the rulebook? It looks great, but I'm totally ignorant as to what was even available!

I may have asked this before. If I have, I don't remember. Is a decent solo game possible or not?

wrgmr107 Dec 2015 11:20 p.m. PST

Took me awhile to figure out what you were presenting.
Initially I thought it was Canadian's vs German U-boats, not a hypothetical war between the U.S and Canada.

Cool concept, and looks like fun gaming.

What ensues is the naval version of a dogfight with MTBs, motor launches, gunboats and small destroyers wheeling about in a froth and firing everything they have.

This does sound fascinating – thanks for the SF Discussion crosspost! I may have to order the rules once the Christmas shopping is done.

ptdockyard08 Dec 2015 5:15 a.m. PST

I will be putting up a free document with some scenarios.

Todd63608 Dec 2015 8:45 a.m. PST

Someone had a good idea of a starter deal. Rules and a good mix of ships for those who are unfamiliar with the period.

Lucius08 Dec 2015 10:00 a.m. PST

I'd be interested in a starter deal that had ships and detailed scenarios for, say, 3 games or so.

ptdockyard08 Dec 2015 10:46 a.m. PST

OK- Here is the Starter pack:
Rules
Tioga DD
Cricket DD
Lake freighter
2- Canadian Hickman MTBs
1- Canadian 55' CMB
2- US Liberty Mk 1 MTB
1- US Liberty Mk 2 MTB
1- US Elco Launch
1- Canadian Vickers Launch

$50. USD Free shipping everywhere. I will have a scenario or two to go with this by tomorrow

Wow that is what you call customer response! Do you think you could also find a new home for Historicon when you have a spare moment? grin

Matsuru Sami Kaze09 Dec 2015 7:19 p.m. PST

Will it cost me $50 USD to get a look at the rules? I will probably do it.

ptdockyard10 Dec 2015 6:46 a.m. PST

No. The rules can be bought separate as well

Gaying28 Dec 2015 11:30 a.m. PST

Has any independent person played with these rules -comments ?

capncarp30 Dec 2015 10:55 p.m. PST

OK, Dave, the PT Dockyard website instructs those wishing to pay via PayPal to email their order. I am having difficulty determining what email address to send my order to.
Help?

Canuckinator31 Dec 2015 9:34 a.m. PST

@ Gaying – I've got a copy of the rules and while I've read through them I haven't had a chance to actually try them out yet. I understand the game plays similiarly to PT's "Flaklighter II" with modifications to the shelling/torpedo rules. Was there anything in particular you wanted some insight into or just a general synopsis?

@ capncarp – Dave has been highly responsive to my enquiries and order via ptdockyard (at) yahoo (dot) com
