Any videos or "guides" on how to paint 6mm GHQ quickly? I thought I remembered a video of someone showing how he painted several tanks in an hour or so? Thanks |

Seriously, start with a spray can of the base hull/uniform color. |

That's what I was kinda thinking. Dry brushing and maybe a wash. |

You've got it. You can put in as much detail as you like, especially on the better models such as GHQ, but a base coat spray, a bit of drybrushing and a wash will get your tanks on the table in no time – several tanks in an hour or so is simple. |

That's what I do. I have oversprayed from a distance with another colour which worked out quite well as camo I thought. Then I wash and drybrush. I like the way they turn out anyway. I used to paint the tracks, and put radio antennae on, and try to paint insignia, but the effort wasn't worth it. Brian |

Yep, a spray can, then perhaps flesh color or a wash next, depending upon your technique and wash colors. Finish with a quick drybrush, and seal. |

No need for spray paint. A single color with a brush is easily done in an hour for up to ten tanks. Let dry and add highlights as desired. Let dry again and give them a dip. All done |

A dip? I've been out of the loop for a while :) |

Dip is just a fancy name for a wash. For tanks on the darker end (grey, green etc), undercoat black with a big brush (or spray if you insist). Heavy drybrush of main colour. Very light drybrush of highlight colour. Job done. For tanks on the lighter end (sand, stone), paint base colour all over with a big brush. Dark brown wash (I use peat brown ink). Light drybrush of highlight colour. Job done. Obviously you can use either pure drybrushing or drybrush+wash for either colour range. Slap a load of mud around the running gear and no-one will be able to see if you've painted the tracks or not. As noted above, GHQ tanks have heavily moulded detail so washes and/or drybrushing work well. |

Dip for me is Future clear with polish and some paint mixed in (I use black, about a 1 part paint to 20 parts future.). Glue tank to a small nail. Dip it in the future/paint mixture. Twirl the nail around to remove excess. Then let the tank sit to dry. highlighting (especially on GHQ as mentioned above) and protection in one step. I do the same thing with infantry strips (for GHQ I cut the strips into 4 figure segments for painting them). Here is a pic of the future polish, I found it at walmart. link |

I undercoat matt spray black then topcoat and highlight, job done. |

I can spray them a lot faster than I can brush paint them. |

What spray paint brands do you all use? Won't spray cans "glob" up the paint (especially on tiny figs)? Thanks for all the advice!! |

Agree on spray pint question. Has anyone tried psc paints for this scale? |
