Hovering landship?

Are those two Cosmo Tigers I see there?

Fritadas07 Dec 2015 11:05 p.m. PST

yes i love the models but that paint job is a show stealer, very cool

BlackWidowPilot Fezian08 Dec 2015 12:42 a.m. PST

@John, wait 'til I get my claws on the canid troops that will go with 'em… purple uniforms with green and khaki helmets and body armor… evil grin

@Sargonarhes, nope, those are two Havok class TPAcs from Silent Death, craft unique to the Sunrunners professional mercenary fleet, actually, but I *do* have a pair of box scale Cosmo Zeros from the current Yamato 2199 Mecha Colle line along with some Garmillas interceptors done up as part of a Silent Death crossover project… as for a hovering landship, I *am* planning on doing one in 15mm on tracks eventually, yes… evil grin

Oh, and photos of the Sunrunners ship minis will be going up on our official Silent Death Instagram feed fairly soon if I can squeeze enough lighting out of our lousy office fixtures…

@Fritadas, thank you! I really was trying my creative best to come up with something that wasn't quite human, but still at least appeared like it might work in a particular environment, and this time I think I hit the proverbial sweet spot… evil grin

Thanks everyone for the kind words! I am hoping to get some photos of the now finished and based grav AFVs up as soon as our currently foul weather breaks, so stay tuned…

That purple ambush camo totally sells those flying pizza slices as alien. Love it!

When pizza plates attack, I like it.

I love both sets of camo shown, but am quite drawn to the one Balck Widow Pilot has with the colors and white outlining. I am looking for somethign to do my "The Race" (from Harry Turtledove) Killercraft and landcruisers in, and this is a good possibility, although possibly more of a mauve than a strong purple and a more brownish shade of the green since The Race are from a very desert type planet. In the text of one of the books, one of The Race describes the colors of Home as being reds, yellows and oranges.

Still good for inspiration!

Yes, the hull, but I'm seeing what he means in the turret. Blister curves on blister curves…

Crossing my fingers on the Sunrunner piccies (playing havoc with my typing) as I'm having trouble seeing the paint, but very interesting.

Thank you, kind sentient! As the New Year progresses I'm hoping to add to that particular force… meanwhile I have some other Liopleurodons to fry, starting with a new blog post, a New Sale for Metal Express, assorted articles, and the next iteration of the Night Brood playtesting document amalgamating all of the accumulated feedback from our playtesters to date…
