by the RE and all the artillery ?

The Royal Horse Artillery is a part of the Royal Artillery and the mottos of the RA and RE are the same.

My grand-dad's regiment!

She's the patron Saint of Field Artillery in the US … like St. Michael, the Archangel, is the patron Saint of Paratroopers …

Now I don't know if the Pope knows this … or the history of this all coming about ?

But at Parachute School, the Sunday before our first jump. We went to church on post. And were given a little St. Michael metal. I put it on my dog tags. Just to cover all bases. It's there to this day. grin
