Through the magic of Hulu, I finally was able to watch the last few episodes of Vikings.
Ragnar looks to be in a bad way. Also I have read that next season may deal more with his kids and kill him off.
Do you really think they will kill him off in a snake pit? That would be an ignoble end for a fun character.

Although the Saga account says Ragnar was killed by King Ælla of Northumbria by being thrown into a snake pit – after having had his magical silk shirt removed which was supposedly immune to damage.

Dont worry though…

A) The history of the Vikings is horribly messed up in the show, so anything could really happen…and
B) King Ælla was himself killed by Ragnar's sons by being Blood Eagled!

But what is Uthred going to do? Kind of interesting having two series exploring bits of the same territory? ;-)

Uthred will meet Ragnar on the road to Northumbria, and Ragnar will immediately be confused because Uthred is "Ragnarsson".

Yes, at least The Last Kingdom is making some attempt to use history as a loose base for the story!!!

I'm mostly bummed that they killed off Skorpa already. What a great character.

King Ælla was killed by Tony Curtis who pushed him in the wolfpit – remember?
