Alright--I assume everyone has read at least the first book in this series (What? What are you guys doing with your spare time?). Almost everyone on Earth now has the ability (with a small, handmade device) to step into the alternate reality Earths to the left and right of this one, and so on to an apparent infinity of Earths. There's a few other intelligent or quasi-intelligent, or hyper-intelligent beings on a very few of these worlds, but almost all are uninhabited. Anyway--anyone gaming this? or thoughts about how to game it? Zeppelin warfare? Combat in 4 dimensions? Trolls? AIs? |

My first thought was – why haven't the executors of Clifford D Simak acted since it gives so closely to the plot of the novel"Ring Around The Sun" ;) But it would be a great milieu for wargaming, though I'd prefer the "Paratime" worlds of H Beam Piper as that brings in established civilizations which generate more scenarios :) |

What is this "spare time" you speak of? Some speculative anomaly from a science fiction novel? |

Sounds like Aetherverse may be the ruleset (though it did not catch on that well when released.) link The game mechanics were specifically designed to accommodate alternate-earth forces of almost any imagined tech level. |

Great series but I didn't see the gaming potential. A gamer friend used Aeronef (Aeronuf?) for zepplin gaming for years and it was well received. |
