Whew. I was worried.

nazrat02 Dec 2015 7:44 a.m. PST

Another bit of fine reporting by the Interwebs…

Next thing they'll be telling us is that Edna May Oliver wasn't a Hot Babe in her 70's either!!!

zippyfusenet02 Dec 2015 8:05 a.m. PST

Only reason I would have paid to see it.

"Go get 'im, Yogi!"

Col Durnford02 Dec 2015 9:02 a.m. PST

Along the same line. So, DiCaprio is playing Mister Ranger"?

I'm looking forward to it. Not the feel good movie of the season, though.

Sir Walter Rlyeh02 Dec 2015 12:38 p.m. PST

Well shucks…I was looking forward to saying "Does a bear rape in the woods? Is the Pope a Communist?"

Son of Liberty02 Dec 2015 2:26 p.m. PST

That bit of info just took away any reason for me to see the movie.

I loved Man in the Wilderness with Richard Harris when I was a lad. I think this re-make (which apparently follows the book much more closely) looks really good. ANY period piece is better than no period piece at all!

RavenscraftCybernetics02 Dec 2015 3:28 p.m. PST

that's because you cant cry rape when it is consensual.

It's based loosely on Hugh Glass, mauled by a Grizzly 60 miles west of Fort Atchison Nebraska, just 30 miles north of Omaha .He crawled back to the fort ,then spent the rest of his time hunting down those who him left him,one was a young Jim Bridger.Great story.Man in the Wilderness is very similar.

Hey Booboo, whadya say we hump Mr. Dicaprio.

Gee Yogie, and don't think Mr. Dicaprio is going to like that very much.

coopman02 Dec 2015 7:58 p.m. PST

It was a pretty good news story though.

Just another revenge flick. DiCaprio is the new Bronson.

However, my obsession with cinema popcorn means I'll go.

M C MonkeyDew03 Dec 2015 2:44 p.m. PST

IIRC he wasn't raped by a bear in "Blood Diamond" either. Maybe he has been typecast?

Bandolier03 Dec 2015 7:56 p.m. PST

@M C MonkeyDew – well played.

M C MonkeyDew04 Dec 2015 2:17 p.m. PST

Supercilius Maximus06 Dec 2015 7:16 a.m. PST

Well, dressed like that, you'd have to say he was asking for it……

Pirate190008 Dec 2015 8:14 p.m. PST
