20% off and Free Shipping on everything today.

This is the type of sale I've been waiting months for, I'll be stocking up on Mel's Miniatures for Star Wars Armada and some odds and ends of other stuff.

Checkout code: CYBER2015

Thanks, miniMo.

Thanks as well, finally got in a big order on ships. First time I've seen the option (which can't be combined with this sale) for extending/delaying the production time – looks like that can get you about 15% off under non-sale circumstances.

I was able(with the help of a friend)to get the following:

Lancer Frigate
Dreadnought
Rebel Transports x3
XG1 Assault Gunboats x12

The problem I had was everything was going fine and ready to confirm the order but I had to double check my mailing address so when I came back it wouldn't let me use the code.

So I somehow messed up but my friend was there to take care of things and no harm done.

Now I'm waiting for my WAVE 2 stuff to arrive sometime this week.

I saved a lot of money today ^,^

This is my annual buy stuff I've been stashing in my shopping cart from Shapeways day. This year, it was nearly all Armada stuff. I'll be in pretty good shape for doing Garm's Dreadnaughts and a motley assortment of the Smuggler's Alliance to take on Thrawn.

W00t — I came in 3rd place! Mel is so happy with how big Cyber Monday turned out (if it was a month, it would be his 9th best month on record), that he announced on BGG that the folks who placed the 3 biggest orders each get to pick a ship that he will design and put into production forthwith!

I'll be picking something in a smuggler/piratey vein, hmm, ponder, ponder…

I just got a couple of Armada ships. Not terribly happy about the 'pebbly' finish (but I got the cheaper material so I've got no reason to complain). Anyone got any tips on prepping these before painting? Would a light sanding with very fine sandpaper be a good idea?

Yes, the WSF does come out with more grain than the FUD, but saves a lot of money on the bigger ships.

I wash mine with a bit of detergent and a toothbrush, and give them a very light scraping with an XActo knife.
