Besides working on the Kickstarter we are running now, we have been working on more 15mm goodness! John Bear Ross has been working like a madman on our new Animechs line. These Animal themed mechs will be introduced in our Universe as a new Alien threat. Check them out!

Love the gorilla!

Not that it really matters, but would aliens model mechs after Earth animals?

Oh yeah. Transformers.

Look great.

YEp, sign me up for the APE Mech.
I'm not thinking aliens, I'm picturing super intelligent simians, ala Grodd, Ultra-Humanite, Ceaser, etc.
I've already figured out who makes 15mm Gorillas.

Jimboba01 Dec 2015 4:21 p.m. PST

These chimps? I mean these chaps?

If not, do tell…

deflatermouse01 Dec 2015 9:53 p.m. PST

I had these guys in mind
plus these guys

and just the Gorillas from Boon Moon, Highlander and 15mm.co.uk

Haven't seen those before so thanks. And while I remember and we are talking monkey business there are these too

I love these! With minis like these who cares about the backstory?

Mad Mecha Guy05 Dec 2015 11:24 p.m. PST

Is there going to be a Liger in range?

John Bear Ross06 Dec 2015 12:12 p.m. PST

I'm doing four initial Animechs. Gorilla, Scorpion, Spider, and Wolf. Perhaps in the stretch goals?

Some folks might want to use the Scorpion Mech in different scales. That's very do-able, and I encourage that.

In 6mm or Epic, he'd be a great Titan Hunter or Kaiju Fighter, buzzsawing the legs right off Knights.

In 28mm, he'd be a vicious combat drone, or an assault cyborg chassis, or light mecha.

The reference stick is 4"x1"x1/2". Metric readings are on there, as well.

JBR

The Wolf looks fantastic.

I've been using Zoids for my 15mm games for some time, they can be a bit on the pricey side though and it's always nice to have something new!

John Bear Ross06 Dec 2015 5:14 p.m. PST

Thanks!

The Gorilla Mech is nearing completion. Say about 85%.

Zoids! And that Wolf Mecha is actually growing on me despite my rather conservative design ethos… and please tell me that the weapons can be purchased separately! You know I am an inveterate kitbasher and I am always looking for good weapon systems to stick onto empty deodorant containers…evil grin

I can't say, but that is a good idea. Of course, I just design them, not fill orders.

On to final news with the Gorilla Mech. After a little bit more detail work on the torso, and some digital nips and tucks, Approval!

oooooo… positionable, nice, very very nice.

wonder if it can be in chest beating pose?

will the wolf mecha by positionable?

John Bear Ross09 Dec 2015 9:48 p.m. PST

The wolf would need another set of legs for new positions. Maybe a stretch goal?

The Gorilla has a lot of poseability, including being more upright, but I'm not sure I could swing getting the arms that inboard. I will have a better idea when I have the parts in hand.

JBR

This is a 15mm mech, but will be quite nasty as a Fuchikoma-sized mech in 28mm, or a titan killer in 6mm.
