I wanted some statues for Frostgrave and I remembered someone mentioning using chess pieces, so I thought I would look out for some appropriate ones on ebay. I found a few and ended up winning two auctions for chess sets – so I now have lots of statues. A few are not really appropriate (some of the bishops and castles) but most of them are ideal. One of the chess sets was a fantasy one with dragons, gargoyles, undead and wizards.

Here are some pictures of them:

Too many statues!

What better scenario to play last week than the Living Museum, giving us a chance to use a few of them:

I have way more of these than I'll ever need so I've put a few on ebay (UK) – I'll post details in the marketplace.

They look great!

I recently found the harry potter "Wizards chess" set at a resale shop. I bought it for the same reason. Some really cool (and quite large) statues in there.

Ridiculously priced on Amazon, but I've seen it more reasonably various places. link
