In the book 'The Spanish Armies in the War of the League of Augsburg' page 32 has a description of the standards for the Bavarian cuirassier regiments d'Arco and Weickel, which served in Flanders after having changed sides from France to the Grand Alliance.

However the standards sold by Reiver Castings, which look beautiful by the way, have quite different patterns.

The standards on the website 'Warflag', although slightly later as they are dated in the WSS, are again different.

Can someone help me deciding for the 'right' standards?

Thanks,
Le Duc

Pick the most gaudy.

Kuhlmann's work on Bavarian Flags show both original flags found in various archives as well as a restored view to help out. I can send you some images for the cavalry of Max Emanuel II during the WSS if you can provide me an email address?

It's possible they may reflect the differences between the colonel's standard and the "ordinary" squadrons' standards.

( @ bdweeks – I'd be interested in these images too, if you wouldn't mind. Do you have a PM facility on here? )

I am sorry BDW, I am totalll unfamiliar with Kuhlmann's work, but fascinated by Bavarian flags of this period. Can you enlighten me regarding what he has published and when? Many thanks in advance.
