The new webzine 'The Miniatures Authority' is running 'Gamer's Tales', stories of glorious victories and ignominious defeats. Here's the latest, from Mississippi wargamer Jay Stribling:

Once upon a time we were playing a 6mm WWII game with home rules on a sand table. Jerry, one of our group's teen-aged players, had found a position in which his men could not be fired at, but in turn could not get their weapons to bear on the enemy. He occupied this position for several turns while all around him, other units were smashed and blasted by the enemy fire.

Growing impatient, he asked Mark, the other teen-aged player, on his right flank, "What should I do?"

"Weelllll", drawled Mark, "You can either stay there and live, or move and die!"
