I am about to order my first 28mm artillery. Was wondering which look best… Perry or Sash and Saber? How close are they to each other? I usually try to keep the same brand for all my guns if possible. In 15mm, for artilly and limbers I went with all Musket and Stone Mountain. |

I like the Perry's because you get a selection of gun tubs and caissons. |

With sash and saber you buy the guns separate from the crew. The crew bag has 10 poses, 20 total between CSA and USA. Then if you look at Old Glory ACW second edition, those were sculpted by Chris, the owner/sculptor of sash and saber. I like Perry, but Sash and Saber make up 80% of my set up. Wonderful figures and great prices. |

I like the Perry castings, but the last ACW figures I purchased from them took a very long time to prep due to the apparent deterioration of the molds. Lots of flash, seam lines, and chunks of metal around hands and accoutrements. |

I like Perry figures too but Sash and Saber make up nearly 100% of my ACW units and I love them. |

Perry's plastic ACW 28mm ACW artillery box is very good, and I recommend them. However, I just wished that you can buy just the cannon and caissons without crew. |

Perry's would be my preference but Sash&Sabre are also fine figures! |

Sash and Saber. The Perry sculpts are outstanding but the moulding is atrocious. I feel like I'm sculpting the figure again. I'd only buy Perry character figures that I've seen never online. The plastics however are good though a little slender. |
