Never heard about the story before…

On November, 19 1941 Australian light cruiser Sydney intercepted a ship that was supposed to be a mere merchant. However, it happened to be a German raider. In a fire exchange both ships were sunk. German crew was collected by RAN ;ater on, while Sydney crue persihed.
Findings by joint exhibition by Western Australia University and Curtin University bring some light on WWII tragedy.

Nice one Barin, wonder how often two ships slugged it out and both sunk.
Cheers and remember the crews who fought so valiantly.

Kormoran was the German ship. And the wrecks were located in 2008.
