Hey guys, I know very little about the Napoleonic period. I am looking for information on British uniforms. Wondered if there was some web sites etc you could point me towards.

Click on the "unites/nation" tab at the top. On the left are tabs for all the countries at Waterloo.
I'm guessing you can follow the flags

Decide if you want to build a peninsular army or a Waterloo army. The first has infantry in stovepipe shakos and cavalry in bicorns or Tarleton helmets. The second has infantry in false front Belgic shakos, cavalry in French style helmets and shakos.

The army in the peninsula would have Portuguese units and sometimes Spanish. The Waterloo army would have Dutch Belgians and various Germans.

I am going to use the peninsular uniform for early 1800's in India.

Then you can forget the heavy cavalry, the Portuguese and the Spanish. Might want some John Company sepoys…

What scale are you looking at?

Haythornthwaite : Uniforms of the French Revolutionary Wars

going with 28mm mostly Perry

I have the Osprey books but they are not very clear on the 1800 to 1815 time frame.

Franklin's British Napoleonic Uniforms is the best single book on the subject (1800 – 1815). I've not seen the level of detail he covers on line. That isn't to say it's not there if you delve deep enough.

I echo the Franklin endorsement. A bit pricey but worth every penny.
