Dreamblade Repainted

Hundvig Fezian is not a real big fan of pre-painted minis, and he positively despises randomly-packed "collectable" ones - so why is he writing this article?

Back… What a bummer!

link

But we do get a free tank at least. The link above has the current release schedule too.

Mako1116 Nov 2015 7:53 p.m. PST

So, perhaps that means more time to change the squad-level machine guns to M60s as well?

;-)

Irish Marine16 Nov 2015 9:43 p.m. PST

Why not release the paint sets first.

McWong7316 Nov 2015 9:53 p.m. PST

Free tank is actually a nice way of saying sorry. More worried that my pre order via my flgs won't be considered a pre order in regards to said free tank.

Oh Pooh!

Luckily I have 2 bottles of Victoria Bitter inside me, or there would a wailing, a gnashing of teeth and a tearing of the hair…(well maybe not so much the tearing of the hair, that ship has sailed……)

Mako1117 Nov 2015 12:45 a.m. PST

It's gonna be tight getting them under the tree this year, even for Santa.

Good to see the release schedule though, not that I believe they'll hit the marks on those either, but still good to see some info in print.

Long wait till 20th Feb, BM-21 and ZSUs for my Arabs!

I got to look over a browser copy at Texas Toy Soldier the other day. The rules and the game look good so I am pretty sure I am going to dive into this. Scale Creep has the QRF 15 mm line of moderns that look really good for both AFVs and infantry models with an excellent selection. I have also been looking over Khurasan Miniatures 15 mm line for this period and again some really nice models. While I like plastics I think going with ORF or Khurasan will actually work out better cost wise and the quality is top notch.

What I am trying to get a handle now is how many tanks, APCs, infantry, support and the like do I need for a typical game? I assume this will be like FOW in that you are building a company.

kallman17 Nov 2015 2:21 p.m. PST

Damn forgot about the unit cards.

furgie17 Nov 2015 2:34 p.m. PST

No copies of the unit cards in the book?

I was hoping to do this in 6mm, won't be able to without the info on the cards…..

Mako1117 Nov 2015 5:10 p.m. PST

Many of them have pics that are already on-line.

Navy Fower Wun Seven17 Nov 2015 9:39 p.m. PST

Unit cards are in the book.

willlucv18 Nov 2015 4:35 a.m. PST

Are they only releasing units for America on the NATO side then? I'd love some AOTR and West Germans etc. Perhaps they'll release them later.

Mako1118 Nov 2015 1:33 p.m. PST

Rumors are the British and West Germans are coming, eventually.

Tgunner18 Nov 2015 5:06 p.m. PST

They will. They just start small then build up. It's what they did with the Vietnam release. And it's that they're doing with the WWI game. It started with just Germans and British and now it has expanded to the US and France.

willlucv19 Nov 2015 8:03 a.m. PST

I'm afraid I misunderstood that it was based on a work of fiction, so obviously it would be Soviet and US forces.

They do look awesome though.

Petrov19 Nov 2015 8:04 a.m. PST

They will be doing brits and germans later on

StaffordGames19 Nov 2015 3:45 p.m. PST

All of the unit info isn't in the rule book, you can generally only see one side of the card.

The only way to get all the info is to buy the BF figures which include the stat cards.

Navy Fower Wun Seven20 Nov 2015 3:48 p.m. PST

Both sides in book. Check out the Essen video on utube if you doubt me…

Mako1120 Nov 2015 7:05 p.m. PST

The Leopard tank half of Team Maple Leaf, Team Canada, Team Johan, Team Fritz, or any other force names you want to come up with are available now:

TMP link

Then, just buy a platoon of M113s from BF at 33% off, or some from QRF, or Old Glory, and they'll be assembled, painted, and ready for battle by the time the Soviet armor is released.

Did I mention the Roskopf tanks come fully assembled, so are ready for priming and painting, immediately, and shipping is free too?

Sorry, only one platoon available at this time, so act quickly.

Navy Fower Wun Seven23 Nov 2015 12:42 p.m. PST

Looking forward to that blue…
