On Thursday at the Uni we played the Cauldron scenario set in the border battles of late June 1941.

We have also started our groups fb page to share our doings and hopefully attract some fresh blood!

Nice SitRep. As one of your mates commented, we place our artillery off-board, too. Although it has the advantage of getting them out of harm's way, it has the disadvantage that you can't fire direct on enemy armor. In early war, these were some of the best AT pieces in the field, so it's a reasonable trade-off.

Good point – the Russian team fully intended to use their 76.2 DP guns in the anti-armour role – but with T-34s stalking the table it didn't come to it!

Aesthetically I prefer to see my guns on the table – the more toys the better, but it does upset at least one Gunner I know!

We give the player the option.
