Hello everyone!

For those who want to go ahead and check our Kickstarter out, here's the link: kck.st/1LyMb2V.

We're Idle Ideas, the group of fellows who brought Mote VTT to the world, and we're on our 2nd Kickstarter to get support for Leg 2 of our journey.

For those who've used Roll20, Fantasy Grounds, or even our very own Mote, did you ever think that it'd be great if you could have the best of both worlds, and that there was a hassle-free connection service like Roll20 but with an actual client w/ features built-in, like FG/d20Pro/Mote? What if this client was actually an application with "next-gen" features none of the current crop of VTTs have? Well it's about to become real.

This was our goal when we started with the 1st Kickstarter for Mote, and we're continuing the plan into the critical 2nd phase to build Sandstorm, our service to connect players across the globe. Coming along for the ride is Sift, our newest VTT that sports features you'd usually find in the gaming industry, rather than a VTT. Here's our YouTube channel featuring our 1st vids on Sift. You can see some old vids of Mote there, as well.

Out of the box, Sift will have realistic lighting and shadows in its vision system. It does physics if you want it to, and does industry standard path finding, to handle stuff like movement blocking, movement costs, and interruptible movement that can be accessed through events and script. It uses Javascript as its scripting language. It's action and event builders can easily chain thing like audio, particle effects, and script execution, the results of which can then be tied to an action button, or to an area on the map. Perhaps best of all, Sift runs virtually everywhere, on desktop (Windows, OSX, and Linux) and mobile OSes (Android and iOS).

Sandstorm not only handles getting people connected, but will also provide standard features like a marketplace for those who want to showcase their work to the community, and get support for it. Our forums, blog and other necessary sites, will also be hosted on Sandstorm as well.

Mote is already available to the public for free. For the period of the Kickstarter, Sift is available without any recurring licensing scheme that other VTTs employ, so make sure you secure a copy, if you like what you see

Lastly, both VTTs are standalone, can play offline, and don't need Sandstorm to work, but all updates to these applications stem from Sandstorm, and in the case of Sift, it will need Sandstorm to get connected with remote players.

I hope this excites you as much as we want to make this all happen. Please consider taking a look at our Kickstarter and supporting us, and if you could, please let people who might be interested know You can find us on KS, and if you check Update #1, you'll find our social media sites that you can subscribe to, or visit.

Thank you!
