Anyone going? So far as I can determine, the reenactments would probably be on the weekend (15th and 16th of October 2016). My wife and I were planning on finding a B&B somewhere in between Hastings and Dover, and then driving in. I wonder what parking will be like …

Book early, quite a few of my fellow reenactors were 'glamping' this year in B&B's as far away as Crowhurst!

I shall be there, on the field…………probably somewhere on the English right flank?

Read that quick and thought it said "Halflings" 2016 reenactment.

Was quite confused as to where the halflings were going to be coming from. ;-)

The sources make no mention of hobbits at Hastings. Everyone knows that because of their little legs the battle was over while the halflings were still hastening from Hobbiton to Hastings.

Is the 2016 announced/scheduled event to be an international "Big One"? Are there even going to be anymore of those?

I still have my full kit from 2006. And I will only be ten years older than I was. If I keep my head lowered and my beard bristling, nobody will notice….

Not sure they're doing "big one's" anymore but next years is rumoured to be a special one?
