I played a game at Fall In on Friday night. It was fun.
Resistance vs. Scourge.
The Resistance had to make it off one table quarter and try to shoot down the Scourge Desolator. So they couldn't just flee, it was a trap. The Scourge didn't know about the mission to shoot down the Desolator, their mission was to kill the Resistance troops to stop them from escaping.
This is the table. You can see the Resistance forces in the parking lot on the lower right side.
Here is a close up:
They start with 3 Gun Wagons, 3 Jackson with 2 stands of Resistance infantry each in a Lifthawk, 2 Hannibals in a lifthawk and two battle buses in a Kraken.
They also have a breaching drill and two units of six each gun technicals off table.
And here come the Scourge to chase them:
The scourge had a Desolator, four marauders dropships (two with 3 each hunters and rapiers, one with 2 Slayer heavy grav tanks and one with 2 APCs with three stands of infantry each) and two gun ships.
The resistance sets up their trap:
The Scourge try to cut off their escape routes:
Along comes a Desolator:
The action becomes general on the Scourge left. The technicals are arriving from their tunnel, the Hannibals have deployed to try to eliminate some of the Scourge tanks currently killing the Resistance AA assets.
On the Scourge right the Battle buses and infantry make short work of the attempt to cut them off:
Despite a hail storm of AA fire the Desolator arrives to do some damage. Ion storm after Ion storm crashes down over the combatants and the lightly armoured resistance vehicles can't take it. The Desolator wipes out the two units of technicals and even with one wound remaining still advances towards the Resistance infantry.
Meanwhile the Scourge infantry cut off the Resistance escape route:
Burning vehicles litter the streets as the last Lifthawk flees from this danger to another, as the only escape route is lined with Scourge infantry:
