The excellent von Donop website

shows the Hessian Fusilier regiment Erbprinz wearing tricornes. Can someone please confirm hat this was the case. The other three fusilier regiments are all shown wearing mitres.

Erbprinz started the war wearing fusilier cap with rose facings.
Later , I believe it was1780, they switched to crimson facings and tricorne hat.

The von Donop site shows water colors made a few years after the war.
