Does anyone know what the purpose was of the security guys with clipboards patrolling the corridors and rooms at Fall-In?
I've never seen that at an HMGS com before.

It felt that way.
"Excuse me sir, are those the correct facing colors for that unit? Please come with me. " :-)

You probably didn't notice the security guards in the past as they were in street clothes

I was pleased to see the penalty for using unpainted figures finally being elevated to a felony level offense.

Excuse me Sir, but could you roll those dice again?

John the OFM08 Nov 2015 1:38 p.m. PST

May I see your army list sir?

Sir, that is a cocked die, that die is not a six. Will you follow me?

capncarp08 Nov 2015 1:56 p.m. PST

Those bricoles are improperly braced and mounted--assume the position!!

Our local YMCA has personnel that do sweeps through the building and take a headcount of people. They track the number of guests using a certain piece of equipment, room or the number of people taking a class or participating in a workout program. This is done on an ongoing basis all day for several days, or continuously, to get hard data for what programs and what areas of the facility are being used at any given time.

Many facilities do the same thing, but as historygamer said, you don't notice them. The ones at the YMCA are just employees in regular YMCA uniform attire. The ones at the Host just stood out because of the fluorescent vests with "SECURITY" in large letters.

Ah, thanks for the explanation, zoneofcontrol. That makes sense.

So, I guess the real question is, what brought about the highlyvisible uniform change?

All us radical war-mongering death-worshipping psychotics wearing tee shirts and jeans brandishing unhostered dice in a threatening and provocative manner, giving forth our bloodcurdling battlecries--"Another beer, please." and, "No sauerkraut, thanks."

Maybe the hotel decided their security people needed something to do?
The food and cleaning staff were already busy I'm sure!

capncarp08 Nov 2015 4:43 p.m. PST

As far as I could tell, the cleaning crews were on the job.

Rotundo08 Nov 2015 6:13 p.m. PST

Well. I did say "I'm gonna kill you" a hundred times to fifty people.

Pictors Studio08 Nov 2015 6:55 p.m. PST

Their TO camo units malfunctioned.

I did not eat Host chow this time. I do hope the Host decides to spruce up the place
