Comments or corrections?

Winston Smith06 Nov 2015 2:36 p.m. PST

Was it too lenient?
I was surprised to see that shit now gets past.
Are there other naughty words that are now running wild?

Winston Smith06 Nov 2015 2:37 p.m. PST

Damn the autocorrect.
That should be "recalibrated".

MattyGroves06 Nov 2015 2:43 p.m. PST

Does "Bleeped text" get through?

MattyGroves06 Nov 2015 2:44 p.m. PST

That is nuts

I didn't see the results of the anotomically correct words like penis and vagina.

MattyGroves06 Nov 2015 6:10 p.m. PST

Arse?

Gunfreak Supporting Member of TMP07 Nov 2015 10:26 p.m. PST

Well thats totally shit!

Old Contemptibles07 Nov 2015 11:12 p.m. PST

I hope Bleeped text gets through.

Old Contemptibles07 Nov 2015 11:14 p.m. PST

Well no. Don't understand that at all. It is beats the hell out of spelling out the entire phrase. That is the whole point. Would you rather have "What the Bleeped text?" instead of Bleeped text?

MattyGroves08 Nov 2015 5:57 p.m. PST

Sphincter?

Bleeped text! I've never been bleeped, so I don't know what it cuts out…

Jemima Fawr09 Nov 2015 11:19 a.m. PST

Stand by for broadcast. There will now be a test of the Bleepomatic:

Scunthorpe

End of broadcast.

deephorse09 Nov 2015 12:27 p.m. PST

I think that "recaliberated" should be a word. Perhaps it already is in parts of the U.S.?

John Treadaway12 Nov 2015 4:45 a.m. PST

I know the phrase "act your age and not your shoe size" doesn't work in Europe for obvious technical reasons* but…

Well you get the idea…

John

* not "acting 11" works rather better as a put down than requesting not to "act 40" wink

deephorse12 Nov 2015 4:49 a.m. PST

It appears that "weatherization" is a word in the U.S.

Slappy12 Nov 2015 6:07 p.m. PST

Is there a need to worry? My kids know these words are not to be used in polite company and I often turn a blind eye if they stub their toe (anyway the one that reads TMP with me hates swearing).

Winston got doghoused for saying shit, yet shit is not bleeped anymore so how can he be doghoused for saying shit?

Hafen von Schlockenberg16 Jan 2016 7:57 a.m. PST

20thmaine--enjoyed the clip, though it was probably much funnier to a 60s Englishman. Still haven't forgiven Swann for the 19th century drawing room versions of Tolkien's songs, even if the Professor claimed to like them.

Deephorse,so is "frontburnerize",though it didn't make the LSSU list. "Manspreading" did.

So did "So".
