Looking nice – they look suitably grimy but the definition of the webbing is still good (a balance I struggle with).

Thanks Alan, I paint the tunics and trousers in Brown Violet, highlighted with English Uniform, the webbing is painted in Khaki with a Buff highlight. It's not perfectly correct, but like you say, gives definition between the two.
