I've lost my dice, what do you guys recommend?

marcshefelton200022 Mar 2005 6:07 a.m. PST

Oh ya, I need a pack of 6 sided and a pack of D&D.

Get some neat dice from Chessex - all kinds of groovy styles and you can get an entire seven die RPG set for a reasonable price - they will last darn near forever.

Some online vendors that carry these dice are

miniaturesmarket.com

and

thewarstore.net

If I see a chessex stand at a con I habitually buy a big mug of random dice. A few visits and you'll have plenty of dice for all your dicing needs.

For D6s, go to the Dollar store. They usually have packs of dice in the toy section.

Marc, I seem to recall you being near/around/in Canton Ohio, is that right?

I don't know about Canton game stores, but in Akron Kenmore Comics has dice and etc. and is a good comic and passable game store.

If I'm wrong, good chance of that, then any of the above suggestions would do you fine.

But wait for the next full moon, you know it is dangerous to replace lost dice without the proper rituals!

Proper rituals? Oh carp!

Though that would explain the 236 ones in a row last week....

Extry Crispy, do you know that the 'pips' on the dice are to be totalled for the side showing? Five pips on the top side isn't five 'ones' its a five! Could be your problem.

That sounds like me and Magpies:

"and a pack of D&D."

Did D&D "invent" polyhedron dice ?

Thanks

I get mine from my distributor who has several companies to offer. Since most of my customers are historical, I tend to stay with the opaques.

Any local game store should carry a large variety of dice. Ours does.
