As muskets were so much heavier then arquebus, musketeers had to be stronger and so the label acquired some sort of "elite" status over normal troops. Its likely that any unit used in battle would fight with muskets, and not primarily fencing :-) When walking around looking for trouble and mistakes, they would naturally not carry their muskets, but any Gentleman of worth would walk armed (and any non-Gentleman naturally too), so any brawl that gets out of control will see steel used – especially in a novel where a fency fencing duel makes much better reading then "A shot B". BTW: Fantastic models! |

These blades look like they need replacement by steel or plastic. As I intend to get me a set I will see how the casting quality is :-) |
