I have a lot of maps from boardgames I would like to have mounted on some sort of heavy cardboard so that I can still fold the map up and return it to its box--a la the old Avalon Hills boardgame maps.

Do TMPers know anywhere in the United States I can have this done?

Thanks to everyone in advance!

You can do it yourself with a spray-on adhesive such as 3M's Super 77 spray adhesive. You can get the mat board you'd need from an art supply shop along with the hinging tape. Just design your mat board backing prior to gluing down the map so the board can fold properly. You may have to slit the map along some of the folds so it will work properly.

I strongly suggest practicing with some blank paper and spray adhesive before actually adhering a rare and/or expensive-to-replace map to a board.

If you want to keep your game in original condition, another option is to scan your maps, optionally resize, print and glue.

Gatorboard is an option too. It is flat, rigid, lightweight, wood veneer foamcore.
This outfit will cut to size.

I don't mount them but put them under transparent heavy plastic tiles ( cut to shape standat 2 maps for ex) as
stabilize the whole thing
Helps see terrain under counters
Protects the maps and keeps them flat.

That is a good price – the same product on Amazon in the UK is £24.00 GBP-62 ($37.67 at current exchange rate).
