Picked these up at Hobby Lobby yesterday. I haven't decided what I'm going to make with these but I'm sure they have some use. Maybe as part of some vineyards I've been thinking of make.Only $1.79 USD since they had Christmas crafts at 40% off. They make great corn stalks. Cut into about 2inch lengths and paint the top a dull yellow:

Thanks! I use mine with individually based figures, and made sure the stalks were spaced so that a figure could fit between them. So, I can't help you with the stand issue. I mounted mine on 4"x4" sections of foam core, so for big things like vehicles, I just pull out one of the 4"x4" sections. I guess you could make smaller 2"x2" sections and pull those to accommodate stands, |

How do you both deal with stands moving through the fields? I made some that were mounted on Games Workshop 40mm square bases. That way as troops moved through you could remove some of the stands. |

If they have wire in the middle, they are good for 1/285 trees such as pine or similar "thin" trees. All you need is white glue, snips and a lighter. |
