Was listening to the second podcast tonight (Beyond the Foxholes – Episode 42), on Team Yankee, and the following are in the works for release, eventually:

link

Chieftain
FV-432

Then later, the Challenger I and Warrior.

M-2 and M-3 Bradleys.

Various options in the M113 boxes, including M901 Hammerheads, M106s, M163 Vulcan, etc..

West Germans will be coming too, with Leopard IIs and Marders likely, plus perhaps some variant(s) of the Leopard 1. West German kit is still up in the air.

Tank upgrade variants/models for the US and Soviets too, eventually, as one would expect. Warsaw Pact troops and armor also, eventually, though that hasn't been sorted out yet as to how it will occur.

They seem to indicate starting with TY in 1985, and then perhaps going with more modern kit releases after that. Didn't really mention doing the earlier Cold War periods, and vehicles and troops for them.

Cobra Helos which will apparently be plastic.

Helo scales are supposed to be 1/100th, and aircraft in 1/144th scale, according to the design spokesman (some of the aircraft in a demo in Essen, Germany appeared to be 1/100th as well).

Many high-volume sales vehicles to be plastic. Those they may sell less of may be a mix of resin and metal.

The podcast was primarily set up to respond to questions people have on TY.

Don't know if there is a release date for November yet, assuming they're still on target for a pre-Christmas release.

Yeah, pt 2 was interesting wasn't it.

Mako1124 Oct 2015 2:04 a.m. PST

Yep.

Sadly, no release date intel though, so if anyone has any to share, please chime in………..

Good to see British kit, just need the correct tanks to face them!!

Tally Ho!

Cosmic Reset24 Oct 2015 7:06 a.m. PST

Some good stuff there, but wish Team Yankee had taken place a few years earlier. And for God's sake, please somebody make East Germans before I die of old age!

Dogged24 Oct 2015 2:30 p.m. PST

I may get dehydrated because of serious drooling about this.

Ever since playing Twilight 2000 25 years ago I wanted to play the thing. I will, now.

The section on the WG forces was a bit worrying if that is the level of research they are at.

gunnerphil25 Oct 2015 4:14 a.m. PST

Tanks and APC can get elsewhere if needed. But Infantry!!

Is like looking for rocking horse poo, trying to find late 70s early 80s Warsaw pact and NATO infantry in 15mm.

nickinsomerset25 Oct 2015 4:27 a.m. PST

Gunner, depends on the scale, but in 15mm try QRF,

Tally Ho!

gunnerphil25 Oct 2015 5:07 a.m. PST

Nick looked at them but they do not ,yet, do not have Brits in helmets, at least enough to do full platoon company. Could do them in beret (almost) but I got my head chewed off enough times by BSMs and TSMs four not wearing helmet. So if I had damn it my toys have to

I might be tempted to head swap or convert the berets into the old rock gardens we used to try and get on our heads!

Tally Ho!

gunnerphil25 Oct 2015 5:44 a.m. PST

But Charlie GG, mortar, and command only in beret. Geoff of QRF says due soon, and so are Armies Army stuff. So am waiting.

As for head swaps, my attempts look like done by a crab wearing handcuffs, so think better to wait.

nickinsomerset25 Oct 2015 7:13 a.m. PST

Ha, dip head in super glue, dip in flock and hey presto!!!

Tally Ho!

gunnerphil25 Oct 2015 7:25 a.m. PST

Hmmmm, never thought of that. Will give it a try

Chuckaroobob25 Oct 2015 7:51 a.m. PST

The Chieftain has always been my favorite tank! And yes, I have some from QRF!

nickinsomerset25 Oct 2015 10:17 a.m. PST

Gunner, just remember the old handbook – Not enough, Too much, just right!!!

Tally Ho!

Armiesarmy25 Oct 2015 11:59 a.m. PST

Won't be long

I'll have my Brits :)

Helmets and slrs :)

Gennorm25 Oct 2015 12:19 p.m. PST

Just get those VDV and Swedes out first Keith.

Goonfighter25 Oct 2015 2:34 p.m. PST

That, Nick, is genius.

gunnerphil25 Oct 2015 4:07 p.m. PST

Nick, my credit cards wimpers every time you post something like that

Navy Fower Wun Seven25 Oct 2015 11:41 p.m. PST

They're also missing ones with GPMG in the Light Role. They do have helmeted LMG figures though.

gunnerphil26 Oct 2015 1:47 a.m. PST

Looks like next year will be a bumper year for 15mm BAOR. With Nick bringing out his stuff, Geoff completing his range, and maybe BF bring out a line

McWong7326 Oct 2015 4:04 a.m. PST

The QRF Chieftain with stillbrew is one of their best models.

Navy Fower Wun Seven26 Oct 2015 1:04 p.m. PST

Yes very tasty!

GeoffQRF27 Oct 2015 3:48 a.m. PST

Helmeted with GPMG in light role and Charlie G are done. Chas promises me they are being moulded.
