"The South African Company LMT has launched a new wheeled APC (Armoured Personnel Carrier), the LM14. LMT offers protected mobility services and products to local and international customers in the defence and security industries.

LMT is also the main contractor to the South African Army for the Gecko Products System, used as a rapid deployment logistic vehicle by the Parachute Regiment. LMT is responsible, through its dealer network, for repair, maintenance and upgrade activities of the 106 strong vehicle fleet.

The development of the LM14 was started in Januray 2015, with design and development being concluded in nine months. The first prototype vehicle was finished in September 2015, the certification of the vehicle is on the way and will go into production as soon as a first order is received…"
