must include the fact that the archives are littered with dead and broken links. There's so much hope and promise only met with "Page Does Not Exist" screens.

What else?

Evidence of the stupid things I've written after one too many beers.

I think we'll be able to clean most of those up after TMP 4.0… should be a lot easier to scan for them.

This is a poll? grin

I also wish editors would go back and delete posts they deem no one is going to go searching for. Especially the "could TMPer236 please contact me?" variety.

So, in conclusion, 'Zardoz'.

New visitors don't get the Zardoz references that were so popular "back in the day".

Any hand crafted piece of software accumulates ever more baggage over its lifetime and fixes piled on top of fixes which as the external environment changes, which in turn make it less reliable and far more expensive to maintain.

TMP exhibits some of these behaviours.

Any hand crafted piece of software

All software is handcrafted. When you have a team working on it, you accumulate baggage of multiple mildly conflicting viewpoints. And if, Crom forbid, you listen to your users for feedback, you add a cornucopia of incompatibility to the mix.

Any time line for TMP 4.007?

How can there possibly be a timeline? Too many unknowns.

I believe that you said it would be ready "after the Christmas sales". Admittedly you didn't say which Christmas.

Over long search times and inaccurate searches.
I find Google does a better job.
