Absolutely nothing.

Gjetost: Norwegian goat cheese. Looks like, tastes like, and has a consistency similar to caramel.

Yum.

I'm sorry,I should have clarified this.Round these parts we have a local holiday known as "Beat up a Norwegian Day". The real challenge is in finding any-everybody claims they are of Swiss descent. :)

I cannot, in all honesty, claim I have eaten an entire wheel of cheese. I suppose if you add it all up, I've eaten the equivalent… but I have never looked at a whole wheel of cheese and said "I'm gonna eat that mutha…" :)

Damon.

I once bought a beer in Norway for 11 euros, so I think the Norwegian economy has done quite well enough out of me!

I suspect my contributions to the Norwegian economy have been minimal, and pretty much exclusively composed of jarlsberg and akvavit. Mind you, I've probably bought some of their oil too….

GarrisonMiniatures23 Oct 2015 3:24 p.m. PST

Went there once. Didn't believe it so went back a few years later.

I have often enjoyed sardines from Norway. Most, however, seem to come from Morocco these days.

I went there for vacation this past August, had a terrific time! A very beautiful country and the people were very nice. I spent a good bit on souvenirs and beer in my week there. Unfortunately I was not able to find a Viking sword as was recently reported by some hikers.

I hope to be able visit again in the future.

If I were inclined to eat an entire wheel of cheese, it would have to be Jarlsberg. Nothing less would do.

Oh, and I bought one of their parrots once, but I had to take it back, as it was pining for the fjords….

I used to work for Statoil, the Norwegian state-owned oil and gas company. The staff were very nice, but what especially impressed me was that their native language allowed them to understand Geordies.

I got drunk up there, and at the cost of Norwegian beer, I'd like to say I staved off the recession single-handledly.

Fell hopelessly in love with a blonde haired, blue eyed Norwegian beauty, for about 2 hours….. Does that count?

Zephyr126 Oct 2015 2:10 p.m. PST

It's nice to learn that Norway has also discovered the wheel… ;-)
