The next release will be a rather lovely Giraffe – not necessarily prehistoric subjects but we will be revisiting the period.

Nice additions to a great range. I think white rhinos and giraffes are rather flexible where time is concerned. Most modern animals either existed from the Pleistocene at the latest, with their ancestors extending back to the Pliocene. The immediate ancestor of modern giraffes was probably Bohinia, a giraffe that first appeared in southeastern Europe and looked fairly similar to a modern giraffe.

Thanks for your comments – the Giraffe is now ready. I should have some pictures of the 'raw' resin cast for next week. He is a big boy!
