Saturday 17th October saw another episode in the ongoing Hereford VBCW campaign with 15 participants battling over 3 tables. Each table was a different battle but all have relevance to each other and the continuing campaign.

Sir Gilbert Hill (Bart), whom I have the honour to reperesent here and on the table, led his Volunteers at the storming of the Barricades at Dorstone – a village in the Golden Valley recently subjected to the depredations of a criminal cabal.

The story of Sir Gilbert's heroic action is told, mainly in photos, here:

as are Nanny Pankhurst's views on the efficacy of whalebone-reinforced corsetry

To start you off, here is the moment when "Mad" Wullie McSpaniel destroyed an enemy armoured car with a sticky bomb

To counter the blatant propaganda of Sir Gilbert (Doug), and to highlight the day actually featured three 8x6' tables that we set up…here's my own effort on another table:

As other blogs are updated, I'll add links on my blog so that all AVBCW fans can become informed !

All rather top notch, actually.

I will enjoy returning to these reports often. Thanks for sharing.
