A three Player game of Frostgrave, my best game so far, I think I have finally got a handle on how best to play my war band, of course it helps to make casing rolls: link

Nice write-up – I'm getting more and more tempted just lately…. :-) |

and you should Dom its a great game, simple in its mechanics but with a lot of depth. |

Me too, very tempted. I'm only resisting because I know our club doesn't have suitable terrain. I would usually buy rules and a shed load of figures and get no further than that ( which is what I did with IHMN ). I've always wanted to use my old Deadloque figures as well so maybe it's time to get frosty! |

Nice Report Frog…and to all who haven't tried it yet -you really should: I'm not a real fantasy/magic enthusiast but this game is brilliant! Well worth trying out…especially considering its available as a pdf and you can use whatever terrain minis you have at your disposal. If you really like it (chances are you will) then you can spurge your life savings away ;) |

The Frozen city is some thing to just one of many possible flavors, it has no actual impact on game play. |

For what it's worth, the rules themselves I characterise as naïve, I disliked the D20 combat mechanic as the roll drowns out the relative skill of the fighters but it is a FUN game. I've read it is worth re-jigging the experience and campaign rules (turn limits and removing the XP for killing and boosting the XP for treasures) I recommend it. You can always use all that Mordheim terrain you built fifteen years ago, and snowdrifts are easy to do with polar fleece and the soft white flexible packing foam you get from computer boxes. |

MR Pumblechook… My group has not found the modification other have suggested to be necessary then again we are only 5 games in. |
