"The Flyer Lightweight, Tactical Vehicles is a family of highly mobile, fully modular, Internal and External Air Transport (IAT) compliant, military grade, mission-ready vehicles. General Dynamics is providing its Flyer advanced light strike vehicle as the GMV 1.1. General Dynamics developed the Flyer to fill operational gaps in air-transportable lightweight vehicle, which can be reconfigured rapidly for a variety of missions.

In August 2013, US. Special Operations Command officials announced a $562.2 USD million contract to General Dynamics for the Ground Mobility Vehicles 1.1 (GMV 1.1), including the delivery of 1,300 vehicles through 2020.

Built for speed, mobility and maneuverability, the Flyer vehicles allow operators to access previously denied terrain. Their low center of gravity makes them extremely maneuverable while maintaining a high degree of stability when traversing challenging terrain. These versatile vehicles can be reconfigured to support multiple crew and mission profiles, from three to nine operators with full payload and mission profile kits. General Dynamics is delivering the Flyer 60 and Flyer 72 to USSOCOM for the ITV and GMV 1.1 programs…"
