The Loughton Strike Force game at SELWG this year was the classic French Imperial Guard advance over the fields at Waterloo against the British Guard and Allies.

At Salute we played it as a historical demonstration game with the Guard advancing in Square, but at SELWG we let the 2015 commanders have their head and the Guard advanced in column with a skirmish screen and brought supporting artillery with them.

They did excellently to reach the British lines but were unlikely to break through.
