On a hot, July day in Pennsylvania, the Confederate artillery opens up on the Union lines as Picket's division prepares to step off into history.
Dixon figures painted by John Bryant
I painted the guns so long ago, I have no idea who made them.
Base, trees and terrain by my own personal self.

Beautiful little diaorama!

Quite beautiful!

I'm pretty sure the guns are also by Dixon Miniatures. They certainly look like Dixon's.

They probably are Dixon guns. I just can't swear to it.

Excellent work!

From the shapes of the barrels, I'd say those are supposed to be smoothbore guns, in which case the barrels should be bronze, not black.

My special compliments on the basing – just masterful work, especially the inclusion of the flowers among the groundcover. Not only attractive, but realistic as well.

Bravo.

Thank you, all.

Excellent work, nice to see some subdued colour palette for the uniforms and avoidance of the shiny regulation kit that wouldn't have lasted on campaign.

As I've always said Artillery batteries make for perfect vignettes!

Really amazing work! Can almost smell the gun powder!
