Thanks Tango. The tank is to the dimensions given in Leonardo's own text. Have a look at our website for more pictures of the tank, its tough taking shots of something round from the front to give the impression of size.

IMHO, the fact that Leonardo is on a pretty chunky base, while his 'tank' is not, makes them seem incompatible in size.

Great subjects for models – inventors and their zany weapons of war. May we hope to see Mr Puckle and his flintlock machine gun with square bullets for use against the Turks for 18th century Imagi-Nations?
