Looking forward to checking out what the Canberra folk do with the Little Wars concept. Certainly what is on offer looks grand.

My mate Rick and I are running a Command and Colours Ancients participation game of the Battle of Zama with 28mm figures, see info below. It should be a fun day!

The two most famous generals, the two most powerful armies of the two richest nations upon earth, came to do battle, destined either to double or destroy the countless battle honours they had previously won.
Livy, Book 30, 32.4

Command and Colours Ancients is a popular hex based board game, designed by Richard Borg, which allows players to fight the classic battles of the ancient world. While it can be played as a board game it has greater visual appeal when played with miniatures. The game mechanics although simple, require strategic card play, historical tactics, timely dice rolling and an aggressive yet flexible battle plan, to achieve victory. Can you change history?
