"According the website DodBuzz, U.S. Army has tested the German-made Wiesel 2 light airborne armoured vehicle. The vehicle was tested during two weeks at Fort Benning, Georgia in August along with five other companies as part of the Army's effort to equip cavalry squadrons a light reconnaissance vehicle. The Wiesel 2 was also showed at Modern Day Marine 2015, a defense exhibition which takes place every year to the U.S. Marine Corps Base (MCB), Quantico. MCB Quantico, home to the Combat Development Command and the Marine Corps Systems Command, is responsible for setting requirements, developing equipment and systems and purchasing the equipment and systems that the Marine Corps will rely on in the years to come. The Wiesel 2 airborne armored vehicle is a further development of the Wiesel 1. The Wiesel 2 has an extended hull and more powerful engine. It is currently in service with Germany. The Wiesel 2 was developed by the German Company Rheinmetall Landsysteme…"

YOU ARE WRONG!!! Panzer I has 2 MGs in turret this vehicle has maybe 1 MG in external mount. This is at best an underarmed tanket (didn't think it was possible). Hopefully someone will give it some firepower before excepting it or else A boy scout with a rifle will suppress it. |

Look at the size of those rear-view mirrors. I guess they would be for backing up? It better be fast. |

First version had a 20mm gun, 2nd had a TOW missile. That could take out a Jagtiger. Version shown carries infantry. Design a thirties version that can do the above.:) |

If the 20mm or Tow missile are in a turret then OK. IF it is just mounted on the top in open then not so OK. If speed = less armor then not so OK. Can a 12.7mm AP from a heavy MG penetrate at 300 to 500 yards. If it can be penetrated then vehicle is an air transportable death trap. |
